WEDDING FAQ

What are your rates?

All packages can be customized so shoot me an email with location(s) and date(s) for a quote. Weekend wedding rates start at $2900. Total investment is quoted individually since there are so many factors involved: hours, day(s) of the week, second/third shooters, travel, etc. Please, do not hesitate to reach out if you're planning an intimate ceremony and need only a few hours of coverage, or simply looking for an engagement or portrait session.

What makes you different from other photographers?

Over the years, I had a privilege to document all kinds of weddings: from intimate beach ceremonies to 3-day extravaganzas. This gave me an opportunity to explore the most challenging lighting scenarios, and, more importantly, to coach multiple couples when it comes to posing. Trust is paramount in any relationship, including with your photographer, so my priority is to make you feel as comfortable and authentic in front of the camera as possible, and then simply let the magic happen!

What will a get?

Carefully edited high-resolution digital images displayed in a stylish private on-line gallery with unlimited downloads and sharing. Professional prints and other photo products can be ordered directly from the gallery, custom album design is available upon request. Some full-day packages already include a print credit or an engagement session, please inquire about current options here.

Can I print images on my own?

Yes, you’ll have the rights to print, modify, and share the images on-line.

What’s your average turnaround time?

4-6 weeks for weddings, depending on the season, 1-2 weeks for engagement and portrait sessions.

How many pictures will I receive?

It depends on the pace of the event and the number of hours but for a typical wedding, I deliver at least 600-800 photographs.

Do you travel?

Yes, and often. Many of my bookings are outside of San Francisco Bay Area, and I'm happy to consider international locations. Transportation and accommodations are billed at cost.

Will you personally be shooting our wedding? How many photographers will we get?

There is no subcontracting whatsoever. Unlike other companies, I do not work with associates to guarantee the quality. I’ll be your main photographer, along with an experienced second shooter and/or a photo assistant.

We're in the early stages of planning and don't have a venue or other details yet, what do we do?

The most important part of the booking process is to secure the date(s) since I often receive multiple inquiries for summer and fall weekends. Saturdays during high season often get reserved a year ahead of time so if you think we might be a good match, I recommend scheduling a consultation earlier than later.

What kind of equipment do you use?

Two Canon 5Ds bodies with a variety of prime Canon lenses, Canon Speedlites and other lighting equipment and accessories. Sometimes, I even bring my old-school medium format film camera to have some fun!

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes, and so does my second shooter.

Are you insured?

Absolutely, up to $1,000,000. If your venue needs to see a liability certificate, I’m happy to provide one.

How long you've been shooting weddings?

I photographed my first ceremony back in 2010, and it was a lot of fun!

You look like a perfect photographer for us! What do we do next?

First, thank you! To reserve a date, a signed contract and a 50% retainer are required. All bookings are on the first come first served basis; unfortunately, I can't place a hold until we have a written agreement. I try to make it as easy as possible with electronic contracts and payments, no paper or time wasted!
